NTA Revises JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam Date for Few Candidates Due to Clash with CBSE Board Exam

This year, nearly 13 lakh candidates expected to appear for JEE Main 2025 Session 2. However, in 2025 JEE Main exam dates initially clashed with the CBSE Class 12 Board exams, NTA revise the exam schedule. Read the article to know revised dates.

Kolkata: National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced JEE Main 2025 Session 2 revised dates for certain candidates due to a clash with their class 12 board exams. According to the updated schedule, Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) will be conducted across multiple days with varying shifts: exam will be held on April 2, 3, 4, and 7 in two daily shifts (9:00 AM to 12:00 noon and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM), followed by a single shift examination on April 8 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The adjustment comes after several candidates highlighted the conflict, prompting the National Testing Agency to reschedule some dates to ensure no candidates faces a clash between the two crucial examinations.

NTA has received representations from several candidates highlighting that their allotted JEE Main exam dates coincide with their class 12 board exam. In consideration of these concerns, and to ensure that candidates can appear for both their board exams and JEE Main without conflict, the board has decided to assign an alternative examination date slot to affected candidates.

What is JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Revised Schedule?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the revised schedule for the JEE Main 2025, Session 2 exam on its official website. Additionally, the NTA has issued an advisory for candidates facing a clash between their JEE Main exam and class 12 board examinations:

The notice further reads, "If any candidate's allotted JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam date overlaps with their Class 12 board exams and has not yet been accommodated, they must notify the NTA immediately. Such candidates should email their request to jeemain@nta.nic.in by 05:00 PM on March 29, 2025, attaching documents like a copy of their Class 12 board exam admit card and JEE Main 2025 Session 2 city intimation slip.
